Masooma Ibrahimi

Masooma Ibrahimi holds an MBA from Azad Islami University and has enriched the educational landscape of Afghanistan as a lecturer at various universities. Her expertise extends beyond academia into the realm of filmmaking, where she has distinguished herself with a portfolio encompassing multiple short films, documentaries, and a feature film. Throughout her cinematic career, Masooma’s work has consistently spotlighted women’s issues, serving as a powerful advocate for gender equality and empowerment.

From 2017 to 2021, Masooma played a pivotal role as a Board Member and Deputy of the Afghanistan Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry, where she tirelessly championed the economic independence and entrepreneurial spirit of Afghan women.

In 2020, Masooma relocated to Sweden, and subsequently, in 2022, to the United States, where she continues her passionate pursuits as a women’s rights activist and filmmaker. Her move abroad underscores her commitment to expanding her advocacy globally, leveraging her skills and experience to amplify the voices and stories of women worldwide. Masooma Ibrahimi remains dedicated to driving social change through both her cinematic endeavors and her advocacy work on behalf of women’s rights.
